Profile: I have a Master (HD) in Organization and Management from 1999. In the summer of 2005 I expect to graduate as Bachelor in Communication. For almost 10 years my profession has been management in the entertainment and cultural business. Within the last year I have been working in the hotel and restaurant business in a coordinating function with sales, marketing and Public Relations.

After being single for many years I was married to my boyfriend for the past three years in August, so I enjoy spending time with him. We have a common interest in the organization Junior Chamber International but also seeing friends and our families – especially my wonderful 4-years-old niece! I love going to the theatre, the movies and doing sports; in particular running, aerobics, swimming and badminton. Finally, we like to explore foreign cultures so traveling around the world is among our top priorities.

Wishes for the stay: By attending the GSE I expect to develop my communicational skills both in written and orally. I hope to increase my knowledge on market communication and receive inspiration in the area of Public Relations and marketing in general. Furthermore I work with project and team management so this area is certainly of my interest as well.

In order to contribute to the development of my present place of work, a hotel management company, I find the hotel and restaurant branch interesting. As my professional career also covers Public Relations a visit and achievement of the skills in a PR bureau or a communication unit can be very helpful. I will try to grab as much as possible from their practises and hopefully we can exchange ideas so I also can give the people I meet inspiration.

On a personal level this opportunity will certainly enlarge my insight in another culture and give me new, international relationships. I love to spend my time off by doing sports and spending the time outsite. Therefore I hope to experience the remarkable nature of Tasmania in an active way. Due to my membership of the organization Junior Chamber International a visit to one of the local chambers would be both fun and inspiring.

Profile: I started working as an auditor apprentice with KPMG 13 years ago. In 1995 I graduated from Copenhagen Business School with a diploma in Business Administration (Financial and Management Accounting). 7 years ago I left the auditing world for the pharmaceutical business, more precisely to work for Nycomed. I started to work in the finance department, but since 2001 I have worked as a Project Leader within the Operations function. Nycomed is a European pharmaceutical company that sources, develops, manufactures and markets specialist and prescription pharmaceuticals and consumer health products. My role is to implement new in licensed products in our supply chain and to evaluate new product candidates as part of our business development activities.

My spare time is spent on out door activities or with friends and family. Since I started sailing 3 years ago, my other favorite out door activity, hiking has somehow been put in the background! When I am not out doors, I spend a lot of time with friends and family over dinner, a theatre show or a trip to the gym. I have for many years taken part in YMCA activities and once every year I help organising a country wide fundraising for DanChurchAid. I love to travel and when possible visit family and friends around the world.

Wishes for the stay: Professionally, I would like to gain a broader understanding of how pharmaceutical businesses run in Australia and especially Tasmania. If possible, I would like to get to know how project management, supply chain aspects and/or business development is handled within the pharmaceutical industry. I would find it of great interest to visit a whole saler dealing with pharma products and to learn how the supply chain is handled and governed. Also, visits to a pharmacy or a company producing raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry would be of interest. I am also interested in getting to know and learn from other industries in Tasmania where project management and supply chain aspects play a role.

I am very much looking forward to all the home stays, where I hope to get to know some wonderful Tasmanians! Through the home stays and friendships that will evolve I hope to learn about the Tasmanian culture and ways of living. The Tasmanian nature seems to be so wonderful and I would be very pleased if we will have time to do some out door activities – especially hiking and maybe even sailing! Visiting cultural and historical sites would also be of interest as well as visiting one of the famous vineyards in Tasmania.

Music is another passion of my life. I listen to many kinds of music and play the flute and saxophone myself. I have played in jazz-, rock- and salsabands.

Wishes for the stay: Professionally, I would like to meet people and companies working with finance. Especially I hope to learn more about Tasmanian traditions and views of real estate financing – funding all from house construction, land acquisition to business development etc.
I'm also interested in treasury and funding management in private companies or public institutions. Especially companies issuing corporate or government bonds funding private, commercial or public activities. I would also like to meet asset management companies in order to get a perspective on asset allocation and financial products as looked on by Tasmanian investors.
In a broader perspective I hope to learn more about management, leadership and coaching in general.

I am truly looking forward to go Down Under meeting the Aussies, and in particular Tasmanians of which our crownprincess is a fine example. I have seen magnificent images from Tasmania and I hope that we can enjoy as much as possible of the Tasmanian culture and nature.
